Default Post WMP 9 ISSUE! help pleaase

hi, when i put a cd into wmp, it will play but at a very low volume (noticeably lower than if i were to play the cd with winamp). I have a creative soundblaster live card. I notice that with winamp, the audio cd's volume is controlled by the "cd audio" tab, whereas with WMP, the volume is controlled with the "wave/mp3" tab. can anybody help me with this situation? Thanks!

disable "direct music" in the options.

yes! many times...it seems though that windows media player recognizes the cd tracks as MP3/Wave tracks, instead of CD tracks. Winamp has no problems, for example. If i lower the volume of the CD Drive in the mixer with the CD playing in Winamp, the volume instantly lowers. What the heck is WRONG!!!! I don't have any extra codecs or anything installed by the way.
