Windows XP2 (and even with XP1)

OK...by XP2 I'm referring to SP2.....XP1 is SP1.

On a computer using a Logitech Trackman Marble Ball the cursor will often start moving....or keep moving...across the screen without any input. I've done a search both on DH and using Google and haven't been able to find someone else having exactly this same problem. There are some similar, but not quite the same.

I've tried adjusting the settings in the Mouse Controls to no avail. I've even installed the latest drivers for this device.

I kind of get the feeling that the ball is somehow stopping at a place that's not quite in a 'stop' position.

Sure would love to hear a solution.

Crash 'N Burn is on a distinguished road

one thing I have seen before with trackballs especially the new laser tracked ones is that if the mouse is moving even slightly before initialization it will get a non-null stop value.

that makes sense crash...on video game consoles(the older ones..like...nintendo 64 and older) whatever position the joystick was in at startup would become the default position
