Also remember.... some guides say that the Volume label doesn't matter.... In some cases it does.... MAKE SURE YOU USE THE SAME VOLUME LABEL YOUR ORGINAL COPY USES

http://unattended.msfn.org
those guys wrote the book on slipstreaming....and I'd use nLite to slipstream it, msfn's unattended tweaks to fine tune our disc(remove msnexplorer, msmsgr, MSZone games, etc), and microsoft's xpPro boot imager to make the ISO file, |

Try AutoStreamer. Think someone posted the link.
It worked great for me. =] |

use nLite and you dont hafta do any of the extracting yourself
![]() just point it to your XPCD directory and hit 'apply update' and chosoe sp2.exe |

well, i started getting the hang of nLite, but at the very end, i got an error message. i forget what it says, but it wouldn't let me create an ISO image that i could read using Daemon Tools. the ISO image was in a .RAR format, so i just extracted the files, and used nero to burn them onto a CD. it worked ok, then i went to boot from the CD to see if it was bootable.....it wasn't. so yea. i'm stuck again :-\.

I just do mine manually with no issues at all.
You can do it in a few simple steps: 1) Copy all the contents of your XP CD and put it into a folder in C:\XPCD 2) Run -> c:\xpsp2.exe -s:c:\xpcd 3) Then just download the [URL=http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/finish.htm]Finalizing script and run it to finalize/create and iso image for you with the proper image file name. **Note: You may need to customize the batch file to point to a different directory if it is required.

use nero to burn ISO if its in .RAR format. u won't have a problem. use the nero express and select disk image or saved projest. makes it easy.
