swap file xp

does anyknow how or even if you can, designate a specific drive/partition in xp?
every time i try to do it it in harware manager it tells me i have to have a 1gig swap file on the c drive for debbuggung.
if i go ahead & do it anyway it is back at next reboot

i have 76 raptor as my sys drive & created a 1.5gig partition on my new 160 cuda for the swap file.
used to be able to designate which hd the file went on in previous vers of win.
not a big deal, just irritating. so if somebody can enlighten me(again

) it would be appreciated. thx

In System Properties, Advanced tab, Startup and Recovery . . . what is "Write debugging information" set to? setting it to (none) or Small Memory dump should release that restriction . . . I think.
