Problem w/ Self Extracting exe/zip Files After Using TuneXP

Ive had TuneXP for awhile but never really messed w/ it much till yesterday. Anyways I decided to disable the built in zip function of windows which was recomended for people using 3rd party utilities such as winzip or winrar, and i have both of those. Since then Ive downloaded a driver update for realtek drivers, and the 1.4 patch for call of duty. When I double clicked on either of the files the black dos screen would come up and thats it nothing else would happen. I was able to use winrar to extract the realtek files and run the setup from that, but i cant get the call of duty patch to work at all. When i goto either of these files properties it seems like they are set up as a dos program and have dos program options. I am not positive that the setting in tuneXP caused this problem, but it seems like too much of a coincidence. I did find a link that was supposed to re-enable the windows zip function this is a command i used "regsvr32 %windir%\system32\zipfldr.dll " It said it was successfull but the call of duty patch still didnt open. I did try rolling back the patch 5MB w/ a dl manager and redling the last 5MB thinking maybe it was a bad file, but that didnt work either. Anybody have any ideas as to what to try?

Thanks

Kevin
