Yes it appears I have it but .wmv thumbs work fine, everything else is only the file type icon. I've searched around /w Google to no avail.
Any help is appreciated. |

I have thumbnails for .abi and .wmv files, and icons for .rm, .mpg, .mpeg, .mov, etc
I'm thinking windows can only thumbnail preview things it supports natively, and not things requiring external codecs/players? |

I've reinstalled recently and the only thing I didn't have thumbs for were MOV files. I also have all the correct codecs installed.

I found the solution.
By editing this registry entry for avi files by extension type fixed my problem. Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.avi\ShellEx] [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.avi\ShellEx\{BB2E617C-0920-11d1-9A0B-00C04FC2D6C1}] @="{c5a40261-cd64-4ccf-84cb-c394da41d590}" Thanks for the help!!! |
