what IS MCE 2005??

so I mean Does it JUST play your videos and music and stuff? Basically its a very stripped down version of XP that can be navigated by remote? So why is it so expensive??? I was thinking about strapping it onto my NES-PC but I dunno. Right now it has XP and SuSE...is it worth getting?

it is a media based windows that is navigateable via remote, and(according to microsoft) will soon be remotely controllable va the internet.

But yes, basically it is a tweaked version fo XP designed solely for audio/video

you're supposed to buy this with a media center pc. Although you can still get an OEM version. If you don't have the appropriate hardware, it would be a waste of money.

Honestly if you don't have a TV tuner it's pretty much worthless and/or Media PC box.
