DirectX 8.2 and DirectX 9

Greetings.

Can any of you fine people tell me where can I download both DirectX 8.2 and DirectX 9?

With NO TIME LIMIT in it.

direct x 8.2 has no timebomb whatsoever

and i dont think its possible to get a DX9 without a timebomb

as for where to get em check on ieXbeta for DX8.2

There was some talk (heck, THERE IS) about Dx8.2 being time limited too), but I confirmed after installing it that Dx9 is indeed time limited.

When will Microsoft release the final version?

I found a link for DX 9 Beta that expires in Jan, 2003.

Do you think MS will release DX 9 Full Version before then?

Also, is anyone using DX 9 with their RADEON 8500?

yea...me. there wasn't any noticable performance gain over dx8 on my box.

Here's the link I used... it's Spanish, but the download worked great. It's also the WebSetup version.

If you don't see the actual DirectX 9 download, just enter directx in the search box.

if anyone wanted to rollback from dx9b, i used dx eradicator and installed dx8.2 for directplay...no problems.

don't have 8500,have7000 and no noticable permormance,i guess this is because it doesn't support directX9

You can get DX8.2 directly from M$ themselves now.

Go here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/search.asp?

and do a "keyword" search for "directplay", that will take you to the listing that has it.
