Windows Update?????

Has anyone tried it today?(10/31/02) I got two certificate pop ups and on one machine it then states to update my WU software. Did they finally implement the pid and key check?
No site has addressed this, so I am just curious. Also wondering why one machine has the third update?

Nope still the same old thing here even says v4 in the link.

me to v.4,i just instal 3 new updates for xp,one of them was for IE6

I reformatted my PC on the 30th and got the two certificate pop ups, I was then surprised to see that their was NO updates for my PC. I tried again on the 31, and all the updates that should have been their, were now there.

It seems that windows update is going through some changes. Now, the Win98 version looks just like the WinXP updater. Gee, I wonder what OS thy're pushing nowadays, don't you?
