Sad Right Clicking Locks up Explorer!

Hi people,

Got a huge problem here and its just started to occur since I removed Style Xp. If I right click on start menu or any drive within explorer my PC locks up, to the point were I have to CTRL ALT DEL and end the explorer task, which then reloads explorer and all is good.

I have tried searching google and cant find anything.

there're a few MS Supports knowledge base articles concerning with the R-click problem in previous XP and the XP SP2, but none of them can be used as my suggestion or to be sure that it will help.
just my guess, it seems that the problem is caused by the thing as you youself mentioned which's related to the program's uninstaller.
do you still having the problem ? more info about it might help.

Well logic says reinstall style XP and see if it fixes your problems ...
If it does contact the author for support....

Are you useing custom themes? if so you may need to instal the patched uxtheme.dll
or go to the defult theme...I don't know we what to suggest.... that was just a guess
could be left overs from the uninstall, mabe something left in the right click menu that should be gone

other wise I don't know... System restore, repair install, format reinstall
are of course your final options... This is the kind of oddball thing that I don't
waste much time with myself and just format and reinstall and move on if you
can't get it resolved

Have you checked the windows themes? Try reapplying the Luna theme (the blue one) and see if that fixes things

Hey Guys,

Thanks for the replies, I attempted a System Restore, and applied the luna theme without any success, in the end I restored my pc from my ghost image and all is back to normal. Just a pain that i have to now reinstall all my games, as my ghost is stock and a bare bone image.
