IE sucks. The most common problem with poeples machines is spyware. IE using 100% of your cpu means that it is either loading a ton of info onto your comp or sending out tons of info from your comp. Get a good spyware cleaner and update it then run it. Then do the same with your antivirus software. If that doesnt work then a reformat is your near future. After you reformat try using an open source browser like firefox or opera. They are free and they keep the spyware to a minumum. IE has been broke for a long time and the way M$ is talking its not gonna be fixed. IE7 sounds like a bigger joke than 6. No need to downgrade your os. That could cause more harm than good. Compatibility could be a problem. A free browser is alot easier.
