i don't know how to fix the corrupted Address Book File nor how to rebuild it, unless you've made a manual backup or used to export this Address Book File via Address Book program (wab.exe), and have the file store somewhere on local or network drives.
but the Address Book program 'might' have created a backup of your Address Book File (*.wab), this backup file has a *.wab~ file extension. your Address Book File typically located in \Docs and Settings\< your windows login name >\Application Data\Microsoft\Address Book, locate this folder and see if the Address Book program have created a backup of your Address Book File in there. Application Data is a hidden folder, and the file extension .wab is a known file type that Windows hides it by default. config the Folder Options to 'Show hidden files and folders', and also clear check box in front of the 'Hide extensions for known file types' |

Hello Ctrl-Alt-Del
I have made a manual backup of my address book. I think I need to rebuild the Address Book before I apply (import) my backup Address Book.

what is the name of your Address Book File and what about the backup one ?
if both are using the same name then i don't think you need to rebuild it... close the email and address book programs, and replace the Address Book File in the mentioned directory with the backed up one. |

just have to make sure you make a backup of the Address Book File, update the file if needed, check and keep the one that works.
