windows xp password recovery?

wtf!!!!!

me and my roomate had an argument a couple days ago and i just found out that somehow he changed my password because i can't seem to manage to log on my computer anymore. this is so anoying. i confronted him about it but he denies it and now i'm stuck using my crappy guest account because i can't get into my own admin account.

is there any way to reset the passwords or change them or anything???

Well one thing you can try is to boot into safemode you should have the option to log in as supervisor and reset your password.
It will only work if he didn't password that account as well. If they did have them log in as supervisor then you'll be able to reset your password from there
Other than that I think the only way is to use some software you can find doing a google search. I'm sure you don't want to reformat and lose all your info and such ..Good Luck.

ok if that didnt work, then as long as you dont have a password on your super admin account, you can go in there and change it. Also, if you wanna get your friend back, try that on him. Or format his HDD!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

There's a tool at www.bhs.com that allows to to reset the administrator password on NT based systems
