USB keyboard on laptop a lot slower than actual laptop keyboard...
I have an Inspiron 9100 which i connect a usb keyboard and usb mouse to while at home....the thing ive noticed is that the keyboard seems to have a little lag to it when pressing a key as compared to pressing a key on the laptop itself....
its VERY evident when you just go into notepad and hold down a key....the usb keyboard is a lot slower than the laptop one i have repeat dealy set to Short in the control panel, and the repeat rate at fast.... I have the logitech elite keyboard: http://www.jr.com/JRProductPage.process?Product_Code=LGI+967234&JRSo urce=google.datafeed and i use it without any drivers.....i have tried with drivers as well, but got the same results... just wondering if anyone else has this problem and if there is a way to fix this thanks |

you can alter the polling state via registry tweaking but this can increase the load to the USB bus.
Have you tried a USB to PS2 convertor on the keyboard (im sure your machine has a PS2 keyboard connector)? most USB boards come with those. |
