No Directx9 THIS WEEK

DirectX 9 Final may be out on 19th of December!

Inquirer post : MICROSOFT HAS POSTPONED the launch of DirectX 9 for a week. We said that DirectX 9 would officially be introduced on Thursday 12th but its plans have changed, we have learned.

The new "final date" is 19th of December, just before Christmas to make many Radeon 9700 and 9500 generations people happy.

One major application -- 3dmark 2003 is hidden by the nasty cold winds of an NDA that we won't sign.

well we ment get DX 9.0 for a special Christmas gift anyway from them let them take there time I'm no rush hehe

Here is a link for the DX9 download, it's a web installer though.

It installs really quickly actually, the installer is 292kB, the actual files downloaded by the installer are 7.7mB.

there is also a 222mb download linked from the ATI site to an MS page (check out the new ATI driver thread in news forum)

and a redistributable file around 31 meg linked from warp2search.net front page.
