Right after I bootup my computer I usually click on the DSL connection icon. After few updates recently, I get no response right after bootup. I have to wait for about 1 minute then the conncetion window appears. Even the 'Start' button on the bottom needs to be waited.
What can I do? Please, help me out here, folks. Thanks. |

I bet your NIC card is disbaled everytime you boot.. Nex time you boot run into device manager and see if the card is disabled when you boot.

I have nForce NIC. How do I enable it when I boot up in device manager. There seems to be no option for such thing.
Actually, when I first built this system last summer, again, I had this problem. Somebody in this post told me to put in some sort of fake IP address in some section(I can't remember) and then the delay went away. Does this make sense? here is my rig: -AMD XP 1800 with TI-V77L HSF -Abit NV7-133R(latest C3 BIOS) -512 meg, 2 x 256 Xtreme DDR(single-sided) -Leadtek Ti 4400 128MB -Maxtor 60gig ATA133 -Pioneer DVD 16x S106(slot loadong) -Win XP pro -Antec 1030B case (with Antec TruPower 480W PSU) -nothing overclocked |

not sure if this will solve this specific problem but.
check for spyware. check firewall settings. Command Prompt and type: ipconfig /flushdns check startup processes and disable those not being used. run bootvis from microsoft website. |

to DriveEuro
Wait a minute, Drive Euro.
Your sig caught my eyes. BUgatti EB110. Right? That was my dream car a few years ago. I was much younger than now and I day dreamed about many things. I loved that car. Of course, I just saw it in a magazine but man it stole my heart, frankly. I liked it over Ferraris and Lamborghinis. Well, just few thoughts came alive and I babbled a little off the topic. Forgive me. BTW, what do you thinks of my last post? |

If you use you NIC card only for DSL and nor for network, you can disable TCP/IP Protocoll for NIC Adapter under LAN Settings tab for NIC.
If you use NIC card for DSL and Network, click on the TCP/IP properties tab and give your PC static IP adress - for example, you can take 192.168.0.25 or 192.168.xxx.xxx. (xxx.xxx is placeholder). If there is no static IP, your NIC card gonna search in Network trying to connect to other PC´s, but there is no other PC´s, and you have a delay. Sorry for my bad English. |
