best cloning/imaging software
i want to make a copy of my windows drive AS is so i can just install it on a new drive since this one i think will be going soon (9 hard months.. and it has chkdsk errors)
so instead of installing everything over if i can just make an image of this and then reinsert new HD that would be awesome whats the best/free-ist program to do it i tried HD clone - boot cd that writes bit for bit, but took some 20 hours last time, hoping to do it quicker - cause ill need to do it 2x (once to temp disc, and once when i get new disc) ghost is ok, but maybe theres something better, easier, cheeper?

Symantec Ghost all the way. It is worth every penny.
Some freeware/shareware alternatives: DrvClonerXP 2.1, HD Workbench 1.0, DriveClone 1.0, 7tools Partition Imager 2005, CompuApps DriveWizard Professional 3.13 They can all be downloaded from softpedia.com Regards, Partizan
