Here's a Nice Catch-22: NET 2.0 Beta vs. NET 1.1

Just downloaded and installed NET 2.0 Beta 2 after uninstalling NET 1.1 SP1.

While checking the MS Downloads, I saw another program that caught my interest: USB FlashDrive Manager.

So, after updating to NET 2.0 Beta 2, I tried installing the other program. It tells me that I have to have NET 1.1 installed in order to proceed.

Now what?

ROFL it becouse some .net programers are arse hats, they check
the version of your .net and if it doesn'tmatch they error weather
they would really run on not it or not. If it doesn't see the "expected"
version then it won't run...It's retarded I know

The only soultion is go back to .net 1.1 if you need an app the
makes you have to have it.

"You can configure USB Flash Drive Manager to copy files to and from flash drives; create images of the flash drives for backup purposes (by default, the images are placed in your My Documents folder in a USB Flash Drive Backup subfolder); configure autorun capabilities on a flash drive; and enable wireless configuration settings to be stored on a flash drive. "

Well, it's not that I really need this FlashDrive Program, but, it would be nice. As it stands now, I have a multi-flashdrive reader installed and it's really a nice convenience to snap out my Digital Camera memory card, pop it into this reader and get my photos that way, as opposed to having all the connectors and wires and using the camera to download.

Also, I have a nice Memorex 1 GB flashdrive that is very handy for transfering and transporting data.

So, it would be a nice treat to have this program. But, it's not entirely essential.

If it's just the install that checks, then you may be able to go back to 1.1 to install it, then remove 1.1 and re-install 2.0 beta
