Hi everyone I have just looked at DxDiag and on the DirectX files tab at the bottom it says " The file directx.cpl is an old version, which could cause problems." I hadn't downloaded any BETA versions of DirectX 9 before the final version. The only thing I have recentally done is install the latest Omega Drivers for my ATi card. Any ideas?

I've got the same thing.
I had something similar a little while back and simply reinstalled DX to get everything back up to date. EDIT: Just now reinstalled DX9 from the WEBSETUP. Took care of that old file just fine. ![]() Dyre Straits

How Bout mfc42.dll
On every DirectX driver relase I have noticed that mfc42.dll is in beta version.
Why hasn't it been finalized by Microsoft by now or was the final version not sought after or was the beta version better than the final version. later pete Last edited by peterosesbookie; Jan 21, 2003 at 03:05 AM. |
