MSN messenger problem

Two days ago I started having problems with MSNm... Some of my contacts see me as being offline even if I am online and talking to them. We are all running the latest build of the program, so it's not a version conflict.
No changes were done to the system in the last week, but like I said, this strange behaviour has only started 2 days ago.
The people I'm talking to report that when talking to me they often get their message rejected...
The weird thing is that some contacts see me as being online normaly. And each login cause different users to see me as online...
What am I missing here? Any help will be appreciated.

What AV and/or firewall do you run?

same thing happened to me a while ago,what i did was save contact list, create new hotmail passpost and import the contact list.

I get a similar issue at work but my girlfriend did mention that she was seeing me as offline while talking to me yesterday.
