I can't controll the saving process! Help!!

Hi,

The other day, by mistake, I clicked on that box that appears when you click on a link to download. More specifically, when I clicked on a link to download a .ZIP file, a box was present where it said something like "Open this type of file upon download." Anyways, now, everytime I click on a file that happens to be a .ZIP file, I can't choose where to save the file and prevent it from being opened automatically!! What can I do?? This is driving me nuts!!!

What OS are you using? I know what you mean. and I've done it many a time. Just checked on XP and now the tick box says to Always Ask. Rather than Always Open. I'm gonna scout around for a solution.

Temporary your best off selecting Save Target As.. instead of clicking the link. where you can do that of course.

Try going to Explorer then chose tools from the menu. Then chose file types, then scroll until u find .zip and and click the advanced button and you will see the desired option there.

That's what I was thinking but it doesn't appear on all file types, namely Zips on mine, instead it says 'restore' but this changes it back to XP handlin Zips and it's ugly
