Sounds probem
Hello,
I will try to cover in as much detail. I’m having a major sounds problems with ours other windows machine. The drivers install fine no errors in device manger. Codec says its fine. But when ever I try to play something in WMP it just gives the error "drivers not installed" The system has onboard sounds I thought this was broke and brought a cheap PCI card (pc got cheap speakers no point getting anything good) Well still same problem it want work. I’ve tried removing all the codec files and the drivers and reinstalling, installing with the setup files, letting windows do it automatically and in device manager, tried other drivers etc. Took the card out put it in my system worked fine. Any ideas? Thanks allot Adrian. |

Did you disable the onboard sound in the BIOS before or after installing the PCI card?
