Multiple Windows Installations?
Ok, I've got this Windows XP Pro w/ SP2 installation cd that I bought from my campus and I've got it currently installed on 2 pc's (mine and my mom's). I would like to know if I'd be able to install it on a 3rd machine, because I'm thinking of buying a laptop with no OS installed, and using this cd to get windows...

Well yeah I know, but I'd like to find out before, so I could get the OS with the laptop if needed

I think I would conclude that if that one is installed and activated successfully on two machines, a third one would work, too. The worst that could happen is that you'd be given 30 days to activate it and if it didn't go through you'd have to pick up another Windows CD.

Might be a good idea to ask at the campus where you purchased...
Educational licenses are all over the place, and can be/are negotiated campus by campus with Microsoft.
