I'm not sure if someone has already posted a thread abuot this, but I couldn't find it.
I recently rolled back from vista to xp on my new laptop emachine D620 and went to the manufacturer's webtsite to download all drivers for XP, in which the link to the ATI video driver was not working.
So I went to ATI website but found that they don't have a driver cut out for my laptop for xp (v.8.512), so I downloaded the Modder and installed it per instruction.
The problem is, after installation and configuration, the display area (resolution) goes back to the old one every time I boot my laptop. The old resolution was 1024x768 with a fuzzy screen. If I change it back to 1280x800, it changes fine, but it is quite troublesome to do it every time I turn on my laptop.
Is there any way to set my desired display area to 1280x800 as a default one so that I won't have to change it every time I turn on my laptop?

I have no solution for you, only lots of empathy as that is what I am experiencing.

I will be posting a full explanation soon and also hoping for a fix, while keeping an eye on this thread.

I had the same issue, now here is how you fix it go to the Advanced Catalyst Control Panel and then go Notebook Panel Properties and then attributes.
Now change the Scaling Options to Full screen and then apply. That is your all done problem should be solved.

thank you for that simple fix. i was about to reinstall vista on my laptop because i thought it was the driver issue.
