SoftMod
Could anyone help me with the softmod feature.I have a P4 -3 gig-ATI9800xt-1 gig ddr4200 DualChannel .What does it do?Is it generally better to use it?I'm sorry if this has been posted or there is readme for the sortmod but I have looked pretty extensive and came up empty.Any light shed would be appreciated.Dan

if you have an ati 9800xt their is no softmod to make it faster... you dont need it. it will probably just mess things up... softmods are basically for cards that are fast cards but with bad pipelines so they close them off and sell them as the slower card... softmod will dissable that and allow you to run all the pipelines. if that card doesnt have broken ones then it runs at the full pipleline, if not, then you get checkerboards when u play.
