HTML color-coding disappeared (Omega 5.4)
After installing W2KSP4 US on a new HD, I have no more the color-coding in the HTML code of my New Messages in OE (Outlook Express).
The PC is: - Gigabyte Radeon 7500 Pro, with Omega 2.6.25a (i.e. Catalyst 5.4) - Athlon XP 2000+ 13µ, Gigabyte GA-7VA (VIA KT400), 512MB Crucial - Windows 2000 Professional US with Service Pack 4, quite up to date I already had that problem a couple years ago on another PC (PowerColor Radeon 7000, W2K FR, P4 2.0, 256MB DDR, i845 chipset, Gigabyte mobo). All my other PCs before and after had never that problem, and they had Windows 95, 98, 98SE, 2000, but all in US version, so I first thought the problem was with the FR version of Windows; then I discovered it was HydraVision: as soon as I switched HydraVision On or Off, the flaw immediately appeared or disappeared. That problem never appeared again until this month on that newer PC and its new HD, with 2 versions of Catalyst and Omega 5.4 (the problems doesn't appear on that same PC box with another HD hosting W98SE US); but here when booting with the W2K HD, even by browsing all the numerous tabs in Omega 5.4's Display Properties, I don't find anything "HydraVision". I thought that problem was an old one, happenning only with old drivers; but today I discover it's obviously not the case, or there has been a regression in Catalyst code. Anyone could forward this question to ATI developers? and meanwhile, anyone would know how to work around this flaw? Pourquoi ne pas soumettre la question a ATI?

It could be your bowser, because Internet Explorer and OE are close like a just married couple.

Existing drivers are Omega

If anyone has a constructive reply to offer, TIA to him. Otherwise I would simply live with the flaw while trying to solve it again by myself (sometimes much less troublesome than wasting time in forums - depending on which forums). Paris, Tue 28 Jun 2005 13:41:50 +0200 |
