nVidia ForceWare 84.21 WHQL

Here's a new set of Forceware Drivers in the shape of 84.21 WHQL for Windows 2000/XP! Dated: 03/01/2006

Release Highlights:

WHQL Certified
Added support for the following products:
GeForce 7900 GTX/GT (PCI-E)
GeForce 7600 GT (PCI-E)
GeForce 6800 GS (AGP)
GeForce 6800, Windows XP: Fixed–Hanger textures in space maps are not rendered in Star Wars Battlefront 2.
Windows XP: Increased performance when playing F.E.A.R with antialiasing enabled.

These are supposed to be whql drivers as the read me states this is the only change from the 84.20 betas..not for me they are betas!!

these are now the official nv drivers. having them based on the 8420 is a good thing as it appears to be one their best driver releases yet.
doing a 'pre release' of a driver seems to be part of nvs qc for their driver release. i think it is a good idea there is no way any company can 'test' a driver as thoroughly as bunch of driver fanatics

it speeks good for the driver that they had to make pretty much no changes for its 'official' release.
sometimes i wished game companies would do something like this with their game patches.

Yeah i put these in as well and they're not WHQL'd. i guess renaming the 84.20's is all they did.

i would not say the made a simple rename of the inf file as this driver is now available via the http server Here.

and before anyone asks i did download from the link & reinstalled.. they are no different. no whql files found!

Actually funny stuff i got it off the nividia website as soon as you posted this instead of the ftp. could they have release it before they actually got certified by MS? oh well. I got slightly lower scores in 3Dmark 03 (8095 vs 8111) but slight better FPS in the only Game I play. I'm going to do further testing once i hookup my new vantec NXP-205 Blk...to some fans and 2 vantec 80mm Tornados

well here is the link hosted by fileforum if other servers is needed.But these have a high possability these are just the same drivers anyway.

but whqls are not a MUST install for me.But most of the time i don't have any problems using betas as long as they come from trusted sites such as nzone (official beta releases).. others i tend to avoid.even more so if they have had inf edits.

no problem,but i'm in the uk and the nvidia uk http servers tend to take quite some time to be updated.@ the time of the post i only had the ftp download link.
