BSOD - Nvidia 84.21 DRAMA

Hey Guys....

I have been racking my brain on this and can't find the solution. I am running the rig detailed below in my sig. Ever since three forceware driver updates ago, I have been getting intermittent BSOD referring to NV4_mini.sys STOP Errors (DRIVER_LESS_IRQ...). They typically occur after I finish a game and go to my desktop to some mundane task (web browse, etc). On occasion, it occurs just automatically during a mundane task. During gameplay, I do not actually get BSOD, but the game exits out and go back to desktop. When I go to Events Manager, the detail states that there isn't and detail on the error that occurred?

I am running the latest forceware (84.21) from Nvidia. As stated, it seems that I just got these messages after a few driver updates back.

To clarify, I am fully aware of how to delete previous/update drivers accurately (Driver Cleaner, etc.).

Let me know if you guys have any thoughts or recommendations on which road I can go down to start fixing this drama. Thanks again!

Have you tried updating chipset driver at all? Maybe the graphics drivers and chipset drivers are somehow conflicting...

And have you tried going back to an old set, to make sure it's the drivers causing problems?

Yep. Initially, I used the chipset drivers from Nvidia, but then I read somewhere that I need to uninstall the Nvidia IDE driver and use the Windows IDE driver, so I did that and still no joy.

Have not tried that yet. I see a lot of people have success in going back to the 7x.xx forcewares, but I do not want to sacrifice performance just yet. Those drivers were not designed to utilize the capabilities of the 7800gtx gpus, and I am holding out hope that if it is truly a driver issue, that it will be corrected sooner, rather than later.
