But i don't know if i'm alone as the quality appears to be pretty good but perhaps a few fps slower than the 84.43 set i was last using. But the compansation i'm getting at the moment could be due to now playing games in a much higher rez than before, due to upgraded to a 7900 GTX 512mb card yesterday. The new cp looks nice. |

I was gonna try these but the current issues listed in the release notes go on and on... don't particularly like the sound of the bug that affects colour space on DVI outputs either. Think I'll wait.

Does anyone know if the game profiles are saved in the same place still?
nvapps.xml in the system32 folder

Well I am sending my card in soon anyway- for trade up- so that will take at least a week. I'll probably just wait to mess around with these. It does look nice though.. and if anyone knows if the profiles are still set up the same in the system32 folder.. please post.

I switched back to the classic view, I just don't like the control panel.

Installing over 84.43 left my system with a repeatable lockup when the WinXP login screen typically appears. Installing clean after uninstalling the driver in safe mode and using DriverCleaner for good measure went fine. No problems after some quick runs of a few games and apps. The new control panel looks promising and runs slick compared to you-know-what, but is not quite feature proof yet. Switching between the new and old control panels is easy to do. Used nHancer to store profiles in between driver changes.

These are really great drivers IMO. I'm seeing improvements all over, especially in Oblivion where I can up the IQ and still get better than 5 FPS more than I was before.

If anyone uses NTune, the intergration with that and the new CP is great. Removes the need to use coolbits, autotests, and lets you tune your motherboard without the need to get to the bios. I am really happy with these drivers.

Ntune did LOT more for my old Nforce2 than it does for this Nforce 4.. I can hardly adjust anything... The Asus A8N-E isn't fully "supported" I guess. I never trusted Ntune anyway- it's readings are always far off from accurate.

These drivers have had some extremely heavy testing these last few days, and so far the best set for me for the time being.
The only problem i'm having (Minor) is im having to alter the brightness for all my games individually as the default is a little to dark for my liking. |

these drivers dont seem too bad, altho they arent super friendly with oblivion, some of the textures appear to have very fake looking writing on them like hyrogliphics (spelling?) or something, but made to look really blocky ;p
i may roll back to the 87.08 drivers, im not too keen on the over glamourous new CP so ended up using the classic one anyway, but i didnt have any graphical issues with 87.08

I am using these now- but with a gf2MX/400 PCI card.. a lot of the functions do not work.. like all the video preview stuff and the other 3D quality preview- all throws up errors. I am sure when I get my 7900gtx back it will all work fine though.. Even though they say this card is supported, it is a very old, slow card.
