Thanks Mig, these drivers are really good. I liked the last set too and these are just more of the same with some bug fixes and refinements. work well for the 7900GTX's in SLI.

top notch

Here's hoping they add the x64 version of it, as the x64 91.31 had the same bug.

They fixed the dreaded SLI balloon.. did they also fix the tray icon re-appearing?

I'll definitely install these.. I also noticed a color profile problem in the last set.. I never tried to apply a color profile to a game profile before, but I tried it a couple days ago.
It won't save properly in the last set. (not sure about other sets) It shows the saved color profile you created, then when you select it in the drop-down box, and then hit apply, it goes to "0".. Strange, and not sure if it's even working at all.

This is with the classic CP. Can someone test this out?

I installed the .33's.

Again I regrettably have to say.. WTF Nvidia?? - the damn game profiles don't work!?

Select "create new profile", then name it, then browse for the exe.

press "OK" or whatever...

I go back and the freaking thing is not there? Also a whole crapload of profiles are MIA. Not there at all. For instance no COD2 profile to even start from.

I dunno.. this is getting a little ridiculous. This is in the classic CP BTW.. off to try the new and "improved" CP to see if that works.

All I can say is.. What the hell is going on with the profiles?

On a brighter note, before I switched over to these drivers I was playing through COD2 with all settings in game maxed out, even tried a wide-screen resolution with AA and 8x AF.. and scaled it perfectly on my CRT. (black bars on top and bottom after configuring the monitor) 1920 x 1200 @75hz. Looks absolutely stunning.

Even at a lower res (1400 x 1050 or 1600 x 1200) it is smooth and always playable. Now If I could get those profiles working..

When settings maxed out, COD2 might still be one of the most graphically stunning games on the market. It blows me away on my rig, I can only imagine what a nice SLI or crossfire rig could do with the game. More AA and AF and even faster framerates. Sometimes it looks very real. That Blood Patch rules too! Anyone try that? It is gory, but totally realistic looking.

(56K warning here)

WIDESCREEN

Anyway - Do the custom profiles work for anyone else??

Edit- that was a double post an hour or so ago.. but anyway, upon further testing, these drivers are complete crap.

Too many things completely broken to list. Last "ok" set was 91.28..

Actually after a lot of messing around with it, the new CP has so many problems and things completely missing and/or completely broken, it reminds me of ATI vivo software.

Oh well. Hopefully they will stop breaking the old CP and get it to the point where it is at least functional in future drivers. Some of the layout features in the new control panel make me thing someone who never used a control panel before in his/her life designed it.. It boggles the mind.

I agree about these drivers. I guess the new control panel wasn't tested by Microsoft, only the drivers for the WHQL. Personally I think the new control panel has potentional, I did actually like it. Once nVidia shakes out all the bugs of course.

Glad to see the balloon messages were fixed, after what three releases now.
Wow, but on another note I find the classic nVidia Control Panel much easier
to navigate, everything is right there and it includes more options even.
I don't understand why they would spend costly time creating a new CP,
unless they were thinking the interface would help new[b] users by simplifying
[dumbing-down] things. A step backwards and waste of time, frustrating.
