No one seems to know wot to do...
Hi guyz
Found this forum through a search engine trying to solve my 'simple' problem. First, know that I'm a PC user not a tinkerer. Just re-formatted my P4 pc and re-installed windows xp2 etc. But.......... No sound. And its frustrating. The Hardware Device Manager says I'm missing RAID and VGA. I've inserted every CD I've got and it's still hungry. The audio drivers are fine and Control Panel indicates all is well. But no sound. One person said the solution is the video drivers. But how do I get VGA up again when I can't find anymore CDs? Pleeeeeeeeeease......there must be an easy fix? |

hmm, the video drivers would have nothing to do with you not having sound i think.
Are you using onboard sound or do you have a seperate sound card (e.g. creative).? Make sure you have the up to date drivers for the card. Also, some audio cards can be fineky (sp?) about what audio selection you choose (e.g. quadrophonic speakers, desktop stereo, 5.1 system etc.) |
