Cant install drivers

Hi,

I just bought a Leadtek 7600 AGP card, but I cant install the drivers.

I have tried the drivers that came on the cd and the 91.47 drivers but the same thing happens with both, when they are installing the screen just goes black and after abuot 20seconds the PC resets.

Can anyone help solve my problem

thanks

Did you uninstall the old drivers first?
If not, firstly download Driver cleaner Pro and install it http://www.drivercleaner.net/
Then uninstall your old drivers and reboot into safe mode, run DCPro it's easy to use
just set the drop down window to nvidia and press Start, reboot PC.
Install new drivers, reboot and hopefuly you should be ok.

I believe you are supposed to turn off any AV software, not sure if it helps but it can't hurt.
Good luck

I was asuming you had an nvidia card previously, if not set DCPro to ATI.

Ah! just reading the NGO forum, is your card the 7600GT? If so you may need to add something to one of the files.
One of the driver modders should be able to help you there.

I think you need to add your card to the nv4_disp.dll, not sure how you do it or if that is correct. Hopefully one of the modders will look on here and tell you how to add a card to a driver setup. I know there was a post on here that told you how to, but buggered if I can find it.
