91.47 vs 91.31 w/stereo drivers, misc questions

I currently have the official 91.47 drivers installed, but recently found out that nVidia have updated their stereo drivers, but only for the 91.31 drivers. I used the old stereo drivers when they were up-to-date, and it was pretty awesome, even with my crappy red/blue-glasses, and I'd like to start using them again. So I have a few questions that I hope you guys can answer:
  • Has there been any big bug- or performance-fixes since 91.31? And was 91.31 an okay release?
  • Has anyone tried the latest stereo drivers? (Doesn't seem like it, since the last post about it was in 2005 =P) And if so, what kind of glasses are you using?
  • Do you know if the stereo drivers work with any of the tweaked drivers? And if so, is there a particular release you recommend?
  • Do you think the stereo drivers that are meant for 91.31 could work with 91.47? I might experiment with this myself, but not before I've checked if anyone else has tried it =)

MGaz will become famous soon enough
System Specs

they are the drivers that work with 3d stereo glasses.

3D stereo glasses alow you to see 'REAL' depth in your games. The only reason why they are not as populer as you'd think, is because most people (like your self) have never even heard of them..

if everybody knew what they were, & how great they are, it would be BIG.
unfortunatly most people don't even know they exist.

really evey serious gamer should have a pair of these glasses.

What the do is, they work with your monitor and gfx card. The glasses contain two transparent LCD shutters. when power is fed to either one of the shutters, they block off the light to one eye.

because we see though two eyes, each eye sees the world at a different angle from the other eye. This alows are brains to calculate 'DEPTH'.

even tho games are '3Dimentional' were are still only looking at a 'FLAT' image. Like you would a photograph.

What the 3D shutter glasses do is this:

every time the monitor is 'refreshed' (say 140Hz = 140 refreshes every second) The shutter glasses block off light to your LEFT eye, while the PC displays a 'RIGHT eye' angle image. Then the glasses block off light to your RIGHT eye, while the PC displays a 'LEFT eye' angle image.

if the computer dose this fast enough, your brain will only see a RIGHT ANGLE image in the 'right eye' and a LEFT ANGLE image in the 'Left eye'.

This is how the brain preceves depth in the REAL world.. by seeing everything from two different angles.

If you can understand that much, about your brain, then you can also understand how these 3D glasses work with your GFX card & your monitor.

91.31 was a pretty good set, yes.

If someone has tweaked the 91.31 set, then yes, it should work just fine, but it's not guaranteed.

No, I don't think it'll work like that, but you can try.

The 91.31stereo driver should work with the newer forceware drivers, but you'll need to use the old control panel to access them I think. I've actually got two sets of 3D shutter glasses, the ELSA ones and a newer set of e-dimensional ones I got to try with my old ATI card. Unfortunately neither set works with my ACER AL2032W LCD monitor and I don't have red/blue glasses to try out and see just how bad they are.
