Working like a charm on my rig!

Less performance compared to Windows XP SP2! But hey! Ya can't have everything!

Dx9 cards and Games will work fine under Vista as it contains Dx9L ... apparently now called Dx9-EX

this API removes the fixed function calls and translates Dx7 and Dx8 fixed function calls to Programmable shader calls.

I don't like these drivers one bit. When exiting BF2 the screen gets filled with corruption and I have to manually reboot. Anyone else had this problem in Vista?

i just got got dual boot up and goin with XP x64 and Vista x64, installed these but havent tried yet,(gaming) but im not expecting miracles as the RTM is dated Nov 2 and these are from Oct 17, must be as good as it gets for now.

Just wandering, should a performave increase be expected in games from just running Vista over XP?

You know, even though vista went gold, it still has so many holes it looks like swiss cheese... I hope these drivers dont melt your videocard do to overclocking bugs, I was proven right in my last post about the 93.71 drivers... It seems that nvidia cares more about releasing newer faster-longer hotter cards that sucks more juice then my entire system, then actually releasing drivers that make you want to throw more wasted money on there 500 to 1 KW watt cards.. good to know nvidia knows what there doing.. hahaha

no actually, quite the opposite.

becoz Dx7 and 8 games are converted to dx9 code, most of the currently released games will go slower (as there aren't any pure dx9 games out there)

any game that uses Eax and Aureal3d will get a performance hit due to Dsound no longer bering hardware accelerated.

and Aero glass being enabled can cause a 20% performance hit (i say can, as the jury is still out on this one)
