enable support for older chips and Go chips.

from some testing i've done.

Horizontal tearing no longer occurs on these sets when Vsync is off.

i tested this in GlXcess and the opengl extension viewer,

in 92.91 horizontal tearing would occuir in both when vsync is disabled and the resolution is 1024x768

Mmmh, if I try this driver with my GF 7600 GT, the installation process told me I have not the right hardware. Why?

not sure,

NVIDIA_G72.DEV_01DF.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GS"
NVIDIA_G73.DEV_0391.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GT"
NVIDIA_G73.DEV_0392.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GS"
NVIDIA_G73.DEV_0393.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT"

its in the main inf.

did you download the 38mb repack, or the 60mb original dl....?

if you dl'd the original 60mb kit, don't use the asus installer.

use the setup.exe in the folder with the main driver files

Uninstall your current drivers
reboot

wait till the add device wizard pops up.

click cancel

start the setup.

if this doesn't work

open device manager, click the not yte installed device, and when prompted, direct the wizard to check that folder, or manually install, (you can do this if you tick the, no i'll select the device from a list, or manually etc)

if it still doesn't work, use the hardware details viewr in rivatuner to show me the device id

Hey! I see the
AGP FW enabled.
Does that mean, FastWrite ist enable? I tried to disable it, but my BIOS has no option for this...

Fastwrite hasn't been a problem for a long time, the problem with fast writes was more related to crappy Via chipsets, (not saying it didn't happen on nforce,) but it was more likey to happen with via.

i myself have used fastwrites on all my video cards, on both via and nforce systems and never had an issue.

i just checked, and that device id is in the inf.

the only thing i can suggest doing is trying a manual install

Also, are your mainboards agp drivers installed?

Everything has the newest drivers. I update everything: BIOS, Chipset, DirectX.

I have tried the inoffiziel 96.89 from a german site, but it crashes the system on the first cube. The original driver (91.47) takes me to the third cube...

do you have a Via based mainboard?

if so, in the agp settings section of the bios, try switching the AGP Rate to 4x, or adjusting the agp drive strength to DA

Iīve got a ASUS P4P800-E Deluxe with an Intel 865 Chipset, I think.

What is AGP drive strength? And what is long for DA?

Guess I have to reply myself multiple times, but it's okay guys, new threads, new faces!

If you do it "right", you should have no problems installing, configuring and using these drivers in Windows/games/applications!

By doing it "right" I mean this:

1.__Cut down all your overclocking options to default values and reset your PC!
2.__Install the latest bios en firmwares for ALL of your hardware and reset your PC!
3.__Reset your bios settings to defaults and reset your PC!
4.__Reformat your partition and reset your PC!
5.__Install Windows XP SP2 and update FULLY by Windows Update and reset your PC!
5.5_(After this stage I usually make an image of my partition!)
6.__Install the latest chipset-drivers for your motherboard and reset your PC!
7.__Copy the modified nv4_disp.inf over the original nv4_disp.inf file!
8.__Install the video-drivers and reset your PC!

Now, if that doesn't work, something's really wrong with your rig!

I have done this a few days ago and was happy that my system runs. Except the graphic card, after I tested it.
Mmh, perhaps I make a new installation again.

Thanks!

that is definitely overkill... especially the parts on removing overclock.... fact is, that overclock is removed the moment you remove the drivers

but this has been a problem lately with 7600 GT and 7900 GT's not installing properly

Fact is, you don't know people can also overclock their VGA card bij softmodding, flashing, etc...?!

Actually, overclocking is the main reason people have difficulties when installing/using a "new" VGA driver!

Think about it, try it out, if you still think it's overkill come back and state your point!

my 5900XT is flashed to 450/850 on the 3d clocks, i have never had a problem with drivers, unless they are listed on the known problems list.

the only problems i have currently are related to the wide spread profile problem and the overlay being forced.

i havenīt had any problems with these DHzero

but eh i run all on stock clocks so that might be why.

Anyone know if the GF7900GTX or other 7900 cards have any issues wiht elder scrolls oblivion

well see sometimes characters one meet during the game may it be a gurad on horse or a deer anyways sometimes these are huge yellow warning signs.

and if do take a screenshot with fraps i get corruption on the image either teh lowerpart is corrupt or it comes as a double image one part up second part below.

now i have tryed to do the same in FEAR just cause call of duty 2 no corruption or weird images of enemies.

so whay is this any ideas since it looks amazing and playable but i donīt wanna play it if it may hurt my new card.

the card shouldnīt be the fault here since it works fine in game and in other games but still wonder what it might be

well a new question

is 9562 3dmarks in 95
normal for my system
a64 3700+
7900GTX
1024mb ram

same goes for 06 5365

i got 21070 in 3Dmark 03 wich i find rather high

well any help would be sppreciated
