Help

I was trying to install Nvidia Omega Drivers 1.6693 (Forceware 66.93) by NGO. Then i clicked nVidia Omega Driver 1.6693 then it loaded and dled, i started it up, it extracted the files to desktop. I clicked the icon that installed it. Then it told me to restart and i did. Then i opened the readme to install, did the things with the update driver and all that, did the have disk, got the nv4_disp.inf, and clicked open.ok.Then it says, "The specified location does not contain info about your hardware." I wanted nvidia because i have SiS and i wanted to play call of duty 2 and it says SiS doesnt support apla bending. Please help please.

can you provide us with some more information about your computer? things like, what gfx card you have, CPU, MoBo, RAM, PSU. We can then better help you once you've provided that information.

do this. download Belarc Advisor, and then copy and paste what it tells you for everything related to hardware. The only information it won't have is your PSU (power supply). Power supply information can be found on the power supply itself; it normally is a sticker that displays the wattage output and a chart w/different voltages. on the 12v voltage, tell us what it says for the amps (will say something like 17a).

oh, and welcome to DH .

you say you have a sis? so why are you installing nvidia drivers.

nvidia drivers will not work unless you have an nvidia video card.

Itachi, you are running a SiS integrated video accelerator, you will not be able to run Nvidia drivers, as you require an Nvidia video card.

if you want to run CoD2, you will need to buy an S3, Nvidia, or ATI video card

It is a Physical card that you put into an expansion slot inside the machine.

then you have to install the drivers for it.

do they do free computer seminars anywhere near where you live?

it sounds like you could do for a couple of sessions to understand things abit more.

depending on where you live, the price changes.

as im in Australia, the lowest price i can get a card for is about $150
