displaying windows in b/w?

hi all

i'm looking for a way to display windows (from a dell dimension 4500 desktop running NVIDIA RIVA TNT2) in black and white. i know high contrast applies to the windows appearance but i need the entirety of the display to be b&w (or gray monochrome). any ideas? TIA

You can try setting the color profile for the monitor to Monochrome if that's even an option.

i've tried several things (monitor does not offer monochrome as an option) but cannot get the entire screen to display b/w (i can get my desktop and icons through high contrast display but everything else is still in color.) any other ideas?
