Nope, your not a dumbass. Coolbits no longer works after the 95.xx series (don't quote me on the number). To OC, you must use nTune.

I got your fix right here bud Works fine on my 8800/97.92's. Gives you the old CP and its compatible with coolbits

Quote:
Open NotePad then copy and paste the following into a text document and then save it with
a "NV Classic CP.reg" file extention. Use the quotes when you save or Notepad will add a
.txt extension onto the file which you do not want.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

; NVIDIA Windows 2000/XP Display Coolbits file
; Copyright (c) NVIDIA Corporation. All rights reserved.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\NvCplApi\Policies]
"SedonaDisable"=dword:00000001
"ContextUIPolicy"=dword:00000001
"TaskbarUIPolicy"=dword:00000001
"CplGroupUIPolicy"=dword:00000001

After saving right click the NV Classic CP.reg file you created to merge it into the registry and
bingo you have the good old Classic (and useable) CP back.

Though the classic overclocking tab with these newer drivers seem to bug out sometimes. I'd like to use the classic panel from 92.91 if possible.

......Talking about those 92.91's.Best driver I have seen for the non 8800 GPU's in a long time.PJ did 1 heck of a nice job on them!I have been running them in my Quad SLi rig for quite sometime now.I will try out a new driver and go back to the 92.91's every time.
