i have to agree, while it's nice to get a freakin' driver update, it's about time they cater to their entire lineup not just 8800 series cards

Also just a heads up, the leaked 101.70 Vista set is by far the best yet! Major improvements (and V-sync!!) to Stalker, TestDrive, and WoW

Agreed, its rediculous that in 5 months there hasn't been an updated driver for anythign other than the 8800 series. Piss poor support.

so has anyone done any benches yet, they seem to run pretty stable on my rig now, i wonder if these were the ones optimized for stalker ,

Fucking last time I ever buy an Nvidia card. It's like nothing besides 8800 even exists to them.

unless something changes drastically, &/or ati really screws up, my next upgrade will be an ati card.
not counting the 1800xl in my wifes comp or the x600 in my laptop, i have been nvidia since tnt(was ati before that). a main part ofthe reason for that was nv drivers were overall much better than ati. this is no longer true. in fact the the driver situation has flip-flopped.
i have no idea what is going on at nv, & from the look of things nv doesnt either.

I have to agree that they suck for support, it's like they lay back and let all the tweakers help people resolve issues but heaven forbid they step out of line and provide something like the Universal SLI patch then they squash them like ants. It's odd that Guru3D always seems to get their so called leaked drivers not that it matters, just odd

I wanted an X1800XT so badly but they weren't being carried in Canada at the time so I took the leap and bought an Nvidia card for the first time since my MX200 5 years ago. I wish I had that X1800XT right now and next time I'll order out of the damn country if I have to.

Modders can and will do it, probably by Sunday, but it's not the same and usually leads to unstable drivers for non 8800 cards. I want some damn fixes it's been months and Nvidia only cares about Vista noobs (screw them) and 8800 buyers (who are probably outnumbered 10:1 by 7XXX series owners).

I dont know just what happened to nVidia but i'm really sorry i bought this card. My 9800pro was better in driver support than nVidia has ever been.

if its a modded inf you want it only takes a few seconds and for desktop cards you can do it yourself easily enough
