Newb question

Okay i bought a Dell Dimension 521 that came with Vista and the integrated geforce 6150 le. Basically i didnt like Vista so i uninstalled it and installed Windows XP pro. Except now when i goto display settings, it doesnt recognize the geforce 6150 le, it says default monitor. Currently there's no driver installed for it so my question is that if i installed the latest driver, windows would recognize the geforce 6150 right? The only reason why i havent tried yet is because i cant get my internet to work for it, apparently XP wont recognize my LAN card either....

System Specs

Dell and Compaq and HP has drivers for the hardware of their various PC models.

Check Dell's site for the drivers for your hardware. If your'e not pleased with the drivers that Dell provides, then, go to the site for the original manufacturer of your hardware and download the appropriate drivers. Usually, that driver will work.

For your Graphics, go to Dell for the driver, if they have one for XP (since you bought it with Vista installed). If they don't have one or you're not sastified with what they have, then, try one of the nVidia drivers. It might work. Although, I don't know of a GeForce model 6150 LE, my opinion is that it wouldn't hurt to give the nVidia Forceware drivers a try. In my experience, original manufacturer drivers work on OEM versions of hardware.

BTW, welcome to DriverHeaven!!!!
