I can't get my desktop to set as the native 1440 x 900 without a display problem. My desktop wall paper and the taskbar streches wider on the right side.

Which means the clock and all other options are not visible.I can't close a page or app without shrinking the page. Also all text looks extremely fuzzy.

I hope that is just a one time thing. I can't test the driver before I finish the game SW Republic Commando (doesn't work in the 100 series drivers), I hope they haven't included new and improved bugs with this release.

I think you should first uninstall the previous set.

No new problems with Vista here so far although nVidia pulled the Vista packages back for some reason. Perhaps the missing automatic pre-uninstall routine was the reason.

For those with a Widescreen monitor, does the Nvidia scaling with fixed aspect ratio work for you?

if I select Nvidia's scaling with fixed aspect ratio it just resets itself to use monitors built in scaling

Are you talking about the XP or Vista drivers? There are nearly two pages of fixes for cards other than the 8800 series for the XP drivers. Other than that, I'm seeing some pretty nice performance improvements all around. I actually turned AA on the ETQW and it seems to run smoother than without it (seriously, I can't explain it), so now I have all the settings high, AFx8, AAx2, and all is very smooth.

Give them a shot, they are really the first drivers in a long time (80.xx series maybe) that I've seen some significant improvements.

GeForce 7 Series GPUs

I wouldn't put too much faith in that list.
As I said earlier, according to the release notes the widescreen scaling issue is resolved too, and by resolved I mean it is still broken.

There are also a slew of SLI fixes too..
These may be a fair amount of fixes but thats still limited to those who have problems in the past. And looks as though they are aimed more towards dvd playback.(for me anyway).

Seeing as i have a 7900GTX on a hpw19 (19") Widescreen monitor that has a max of 1440x900 @ 60hrz.every single driver in the past has had no problems at all finding that rez i require, either whql or betas. This was in the driver profile but this set acted more like 1440x600 which made the width go off screen. And as for the text etc was extremely fuzzy and blurred. The also seemed to be a apparent refresh problem also,i began to gain a headache after 30 minutes of viewing.(also never had this before).

This is the first time in quite some time a beta release has screwed my pc..I was forced to format and re-install windows last night.

In honesty im always willing to try new drivers out.But read me fixes means nothing.Every pc reacts differently.

And the wide screen scalling has never been as bad with this set compared to the previous sets.

EDIT This may be a coincedence but i now have fuxed up my back up drive.Ihave now lost all my system/Game updates. My favorite links has now ben lost.Photos along with a ton of music files too.

Yeah, this set (Vista x64) gets bad reports from a good number of users (prabably us Vista users).

Also other forums think they may have been pulled (the x64 set) because nVidia stated that they had good hopes for improved performance in the game Lost Planet, but users reported that was not the case.

Anyway, here's a link for the Vista x64 162.15, if you were like me and didn't download them before nvidia pulled them. You can try them out.

The Vista ones work well for 32 bit. Been running them for 1 week now with no problems.

The Xp also seem pretty solid to me as i am also running them on the same rig.

No crash issues here after a complete unistall and drive cleaner of old ones.

Looks like all versions have been pulled. Wonder when they'll release "fixed" versions?
