Which Drivers Should I use for Best Performance when using e-Geforce 7600GT?

Hello there. I'm new here and I got a problem. For Christmas, my mom bought me a new 512MB e-Geforce 7600 GT AGP. It was a replacement for my old Geforce FX 5500 PCI. Now though, with the new card, I get -extremely- slow performance when playing games like:

Battlefield 2142
World of Warcraft
etc.

I've tried multiple drivers, 93.xx -> 16x.xx

All have similar problems. One time, with 169.xx, my screen freaked out and had a ton of lines all over it whenever the CP loaded. I fixed that by deleting the driver to an older one.
But then, I got a brand new computer from my mom's friend. I put the new card in there, and I had SLOWER performance than on my old PC. I thought it was the CPU, mainly because the old computer had 2.8GHz and the new one has 2.0GHz. When it came to BF2142, I could hardly move. Looking up took about 4 seconds when normally its supposed to go quickly. This was when -every single video enhancing / eye candy option- was low or off and the card was set for high performance.

I don't know what to do anymore. In order to upgrade the BIOS, I have to find out what it is, which I don't know HOW to find.

And now, I tried installing this new 169.21 and my PC completely restarts. I don't know what to do...

When you start your computer, press F2 to go into BIOS. I think you can see what BIOS you have that way.

you might also wanna check in the bios what is your initial display device and and change it to AGP, instead of PCI, and disable video and bios cache. Second get the latest drivers or try using riva tuner to apply a little bit of overclocking. that should help out some
