Is this possible?

Is it possible to somehow, make the 169.21 drivers FULLY compatible with the 9600GT? I'm having all sorts of problems with the latest from nVidia. I say fully compatible because I was able to successfully install the 169.21 drivers but all my games ran horribly slow, I'm assuming this is because they weren't made for the 9600GT in the first place. (although all my problems went away).

I'm really desperate, the newest drivers are absolutely horrendous. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

The 169 series are not for the 9xxx series of cards. Nvidia is releasing drivers for those cards (which include the 9600GT, 9800GTX, and 9800GX2) under the Forceware 174 releases to start.

As a matter of fact, Nvidia just released a new version of the 174 drivers on March 18th, the Forceware 174.53 (original driver was 174.16), which now include support of the 9800GX2. In either case you might want to give those a shot.

Ooo new drivers? I didn't know about that. I'm still on 174.16. I'll definitely give the new ones a shot.
