Default Post Nvidia Driver Tweaking

Hey there, I'm thinking of creating my own Nvidia driver set which consists of takin the 29.11 Win2k/XP OpenGL driver (I think) and mixing it with 28.90 or at leat test it for some performance increase with my GeForce 3 and GF2 GTS. Hey Omega could you tell me some information about mixing Nvidia driver sets and INF editing in action. I'm talking about the 22.xx series and 28.xx to 29.xx drivers . But this will take a while ...

The more people tweaking drivers the better as far as I'm concerned, but you're not going to be able to build the set you want. From my understand from something Omegadrive posted you can not mix across sets unless they have the same two digits, ie. you could mix the openGL from 28.32 with the 28.90 set, but not the 29.20 set. 28.xx & 29.xx is a no-go, 28.xx & 28.xx is ok.

IMNADG, but I think that's the way it is.

Well, since the release of Nvidia's official WHQL 29.42, I tweaked it with the 29.11 and used it on my Suma GF2 MX200 and MX400 and my Hercules 3D Prophet III Gfx cards. I was amazed that I gained a few FPS with Q3 and Half-Life, a 5fps increase indeed, But I didn't notice it anyway... just a thought

Yes sir I did mix OpenGL drivers and tweaked some settings in the inf file. I don't use my tweaked drivers anymore, cause I'm happy with Omega's Nvidia drivers and Nvidia's official 29.42...
