Default Post New nvidia Omega drivers "9M 1.0.2942" (Beta 2)

OK, sorry for my absence, but I have been putting things into perspective and re-aligning my life, so I'm doing "little" work on my PC and more work in my real life, to put things in balance if you know what I mean

Well, in this little time I have tweaking the nvidia drivers a little more, I still can't get the D3D drivers to do what I want, but at least they are optimized, sans the LOD, I may contact nvidia, to see "if" they can help me (yeah, right, keep dreaming... )

But in them meantime there is a new release, still beta, but runs better than the previous release.

Here are the instructions for installing them:
1) Install the regular 29.42 drivers and give them a roll in benchmarks, write down the results and take a notice of the image quality.
2) Download the Omega drivers.
3) After downloading them you must uncompress them to a folder of your choice using Winzip or any other utilitie that can extract CAB files.
4) They must be installed through the Device Manager, they don't have a SETUP.
5) No need to clean previous settings, the drivers are prepared to remove old settings, even unknown ones.
6) After the install just restart and test again.
7) Inform me of any problems or any advancements.

That's all I need, here is the temporary link to the new 9x/ME set:

Enjoy!

I D/L'ed Omega's 29.42 nVidia drivers for my v8200 and here are my results:

3DMark2001 = with nVidia 2942 drivers = 7387, with Omega's = 7407 Nice increase.
Vulpine GLMark = with nVidia Drivers = 78, with Omega's = 71.6 an unexpected drop.

Thats it. I'll stay with Omega's for awhile and check out how they are in the games.

Default Post Me likes.

Gained 22 in 3dm2k1se b330, not much but it's a real gain and not MoE, and my openGL games look incredibly tasty!

Nice job Omegadrive!

hi...

I´ve downloaded and tested your drivers...

And want to tell about a possible problem I found..

do not why..but if I install these drivers...GTA3 will not run ...

No errors, no BSOD....just wont start...thats it...

if you try with nvidia drivers 29.42, or 28.90 or others...there is no problem at all
only with omega drivers....

Besides that..I didnt found any problems....IQ was better...3DMark2001 got down about 100 points, and GLXS also (OPENGL test)....

my config is

ATHLON XP 1900+
MSI KT3 ULTRA ARU Bios 5.1
PNY GeForce 4 Ti4400 (No Oced)
256 MB SAMSUNG DDR PC2700

Default Post 29.42 By Omega

Hello, I tryed the driver in 3dmark 2001(A BIT FASTER BUT WITH MORE QUALITY), and in Global Operations(D3D) And work great and very good image quality.

I saw that the Enhanced Cpu Instructions are disabled by default, I don't if this only happen in my drivers, but this maybe is the problem of the OGL work slower.

Great Job!!!!

My Sys:

AMD THUNDER 1.13 GHZ
256MB PC 133
W98 SE
DX 8.1
GEFORCE2 Ti LEADTEK TH
IBM 7200 RPM 40 GB
S.B. LIVE 5.1
CRT CTX 17" 0.24 D.P.
