Go 6150 problems (HD playback)

I am running a compaq presario V6106AU laptop (AMD TL-50 1.6 ghz dual core, 1.5 GB ram, Go6150)
Videos in 1440x1080 and 1280x720 resolutions work fine. 1920x1080 is very laggy and has low framerate.
Are the specs too low? or is there some driver problem? Using company provided drivers at the moment taken from the compaq website.
Help me out. Please.
