Problem Installing 44.03 Omega Drivers for XP
Hi,
Win XP Pro: I downloaded the file with no problems and extracted to a folder. I used control panel to get to the graphics card and update drivers. The install was going fine then came the following message: The file 'nv4_mini.sys' on NVidia Windows 2000/XP Driver Library Installatin Disk 1 is needed. Type the path where the file is located then click ok. I have now downloaded the file three times just in case it was a corrupt download - once from omega and twice from a mirror site but still have the same problem. Look forward to hearing from you shortly, Regards Bravo |

First off, welcome to DriverHeaven! Bravo
![]() two things I can think of to try: 1. try updating the drivers via the device manager and update driver. select to manually show windows where your new driver is. if that error comes up point it to the folder that your drivers extracted to (usually c:/nvidia I think.. then the sub folder or file in there it is looking for). if that doesn't cut it try, 2. drumroll..... DriverCleaner. the link to it is on the front page of DH here on the left. there is a readme file inside on how to use it. Good Luck Bravo! |

All sorted
Hi and thanks,
Tried both of your suggestions but it unfortunately did not solve the problem. Eventually I found the missing file and got the driver installed ok. Still cant get my Futuremark score past 1450......grumble :-) Great site you have here. regards Bravo |
