Default Post tv out

When eventualy trying my tv out function on my gforce2 mx400 I was amazed how poor the picture quality was . I spent about £15 for a s-vidio lead and was not amused.
my tv chip is a chronotel 7007 , is this a poor chip or is it the tvtool6.5 software .
I couldnt get the tv out to work without tvtool.
anyone got a good picture ? HOW ?

nvidia video cards output a "shrunk" screen, iow, what you see on the tv is not its native resolution, since the output screen is reduced to about 75% what it should be. you should also notice black borders around the edge of the tv screen. this is for compatibility with older tvs. the only way to get a high quality tv output is to get an ati or matrox product.

ok.. going to post a question here cuz the thread is still pretty small.

My question is:
I have a P4-1.6mhz Cpu.
Asus P4B266 Motherboard.
Nvidia Gforce 3 Ti 200 DDR128.
I use TVTool 6.5 to watch movies "Via S.VIDEO" to My Sony's S.Video in..
I will also aggree that it looks kind of fuzzy no matter what the opt's are set at..
Full screen AVi, mpg, and DVD's all look good with either MPlayer 9 or WinDVD 4 still, but DeskTop looks the shit's ..

But TVTool has be acting weird and I would rather just get rid of it..
Main Reason for TVTool for me is so I can use the monitor at the same time..
With out TVTool I can only [A] View TV or [B] View monitor..
I was told that there was a Driver for My card that would open up the option to view S.Video and my Monitor at the same time..
Is this so..?
10nx

never heard of anything like that. it may be that if you set your monitor resolution and refresh rate to some weird resolution... that i've heard of.

tvtool is a great utility but it doesn't make gold out of lead.
