Nvidia's SPEED
Last weekend I was pumped waiting for tuesday when Something called Nvidia speed was suppost to surface. I stoped home half way through my work day and was pleased to find 2.45 Nforce drivers and sorta forgot about this secret speed thing.
Well here it is. It was not new drivers for all who did the same. Check it out. Nvidia Speed It's accually an Overclocking competition. Happy OverClocking!

On one hand your now wrong. The only thing is we just happen to be their PR Department. 1 Site says something and it spreads like a wildfire. And gets a little streached.
On the other hand. When I stoped @ home to look and see what was up. I was not dissapointed. So I cant really complain

No it is an overclocking program for windows. If i could find a questionare form that i had it would scan it and prove it to everyone basicly the speed n contest it probably a way of supporting the program i bet they will give it a formal introduction and release it at quakeon along with the contest.
Here sis the heads up on that questionare form that i was talking about . Well amdzone had this lanparty in austin i went to it and nvidia had 2 pcs set up there one nforce 3 pc with a quadro running the dawn demo and the other an overclocked nforce 2ultra 400 well on the nfoce 3 they had a projector hoocked up and was showing off the speed n program except this was a while back so they hadent come up with a name for it yet. after the demonstration they said that they have showed it to some websites and some comapnies and the response for it was good. Then they handed a 2 sided sheet out to everyone who watched the demonstration one side had questions on it and the other had screenshots of the program so you could draw on it and sugesst changes to the ui well i forgot to give it back to them so i still got it.... some were here in my room. As soon as i find it ill put up screenshots this program is for real! BTW i think some people might have allready posted a few pictures of the program....

The the thing is Driver 7 is that everyone was hoping for a few things. One being the infamous SW IDE driver. Which people have been in perpetual wait for and still are.
Another was Nexus's suggestion. That the software overclocking program is actually released. The thing's been shown on nforcerhq. So we know its coming. The third is the mystery option. Mostly people just guessing they came to some "driver revelation" for speed increase. Then there's the prediction of the release of the nv40. Paper release, whatever. In that light does it seem to be a bit of a letdown? I mean. A contest and a site update? I mean getting some people out there excited about overclocking isint hard. You also have to keep in mind that the people who get the best clocks are insane. LardAsse's experiments should hold testament to that. I know I have no contest in the contest so there's no way in hell I'm going to bother. |

Goto Gnomedex next time
This software was shown at Gnomedex 3.0 in it's entirety.
NVIDIA Corporation presents: "Unlock the Performance of Your PC with Secret Tweaks and Overclocking Tips" ~ Micah Stroud from NVIDIA, will be at your disposal! Overclocking your PC is a must-have for some, and a mystery for just about everyone else. Does it void your warranty? Will it blow up the machine? Do I need extra cooling? In our quest to transform the ordinary PC into the ultimate gaming platform, NVIDIA has spent countless hours in the lab, tweaking and tuning components to obtain the most performance possible. The official NVIDIA Overclocking Workshops have something for everybody--and even if you’re a hardcore enthusiast who builds PCs in your sleep, or perhaps someone who was fearful to crack open the case, we’ve got the answers you seek. From the basics--including a discussion on the risks--to more advanced tactics, including adjusting the voltage, frequency and memory timings, we’ve got you covered. And, if you’re lucky, we may even show you a few new things you’ve only dreamed about… http://www.gnomedex.com/speakers.php http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&i...=Google+Search This just in from NVIDIA's Bryan Del Rizzo. A must see event if you'll be in the Des Moines, Iowa area on the 25th and 26th of July. NVIDIA TO SHOWCASE LATEST GRAPHICS AND PLATFORM TECHNOLOGIES AT IOWA GEEKFEST http://www.3dgpu.com/modules/news/ar...hp?storyid=171 http://www.nvnews.net/cgi-bin/search...yword=gnomedex Now I'm really pissed I didn't take any pictures of this presentation. Didn't figure it would be anything earth shattering and didn't have much memory left on the camera. Oh well all those who were at the break away session at Gnomedex 3.0 know the truth - lol. Found some pictures http://www.hammerheadtech.net/upload...vsyscfg-01.jpg http://www.hammerheadtech.net/upload...vsyscfg-02.jpg I can confirm this looks exactly like the software I and others saw in action at Gnomedex 3.0. szig escribio ': " nVidia has been developing for a year overclock from Windows. It will be possible to change a series of parameters of the bios and one will only be due to reinitiate when changing timings and latencies of the memories. The definitive implementation will have to overcome the fence of the card manufacturers mother. http://www.google.com/search?num=20&...yscfg+download Micha also demonstrated NVIDIA's upcoming overclocking utility dubbed NVOverclock. While currently in the beta stage of development, the utility was able to increase the front-side bus speed of the nForce2 motherboard with a few clicks of the mouse. It displays the necessary information such as voltages to the common areas of interest (i.e. CPU, memory, etc.) and the system temperatures. It also allows the user to tweak a number of features such as the voltage provided to various parts of the motherboard and the memory timings as well. This is certainly shaping up to be a very important part of the tweaker's arsenal. Unfortunately, the pictures I was able to take of the utility weren't able to capture anything but a blurry mess. http://www.nvnews.net/articles/chain...d/page_2.shtml Even more on this http://www.nforcershq.com/forum/view...870&highlight= http://www.nforcershq.com/forum/view...da63538f2d9ea3 Last edited by IGGY; Aug 4, 2003 at 07:51 AM. |

How is this not software? It's currently in beta testing and I've seen the software in action at a conference. I don't work for, use or sell anything this company produces - so why would my comments be suspect? The contest from my view is just a way to hype the new software. It's not some evil pr plot and actually I'm not sure why everyone on the net flips a lid because people try to market or make money from a product. It's fun because a lot of times I've found the people who scream the loudest about these type of things - tend to have a hidden agenda.
