Why is nVidia freaking out so bad over this driver leak?
Seriously, they are. I've been to at least three sites where I've encountered the getting-way-too-familiar "Removed at request of nVidia" message. Now I'm sort of new to the nVidia scene, but today is the first time I've seen that message out of nVidia and I didn't like it one bit! (Problems with beta leaks at ATI is what lead me to nVidia in the first place! Long story....) I've been playing with the drivers all last night, and to be honest they don't seem all that much better than the 29.80 set under 98se. A bit better, the usual 1-3% I've been getting to know and love from nVidia. ("Slow but steady wins the race")
But WHY is nVidia pulling them? I've been hearing that nVidia is going to be openGL 1.4 compliant in the VERY near future. I have no idea what being "openGL 1.4 compliant" really means or how it's going to affect my gaming goodness, but I can't help scritch my butt and kind of wonder at the two different bits-o-weirdness I've been hearing. (Well, reading. I don't get out much with the technical types.....more the teletubby types.  )Any thoughts? Ideas? Weird inputs? If'n we can't figure out what it means, lets at least make up something good to screw with the fanATIcs minds!

maybe because everyone thought that 30.xx would be det5 and when they found out that they're not much better then 29.xx - they're very dissapointed right now...
 Or maybe because they say they suppport nv18 in the .inf... |
